You know, of course, that '51s didn't come with power steering, right? That said, are you trying to convert to PS or did someone already add it?
What's wrong with yours?

OK - so are you missing this bellcrank or is yours damaged somehow? Sorry about the "Twenty questions", but gotta have all the info before we can help.[:I]

YES, you need the 1543496 superceeded to: 1547288 Bellcrank used on '58-'66 Cars, all models. It has 2 arms with eyes on ends, two for tie rods, one for P/S Ram. $119.80 at SASCO in South Bend NEW, or cheaper used, if somone will break-up a "changeover kit" from a parts car, I do not have enough of them to do that.

Rich. :)

"Bob40" over at alt.autos.studebaker posted a link to some pix of a parts stash he recently acquired. Seems to me I saw a bellcrank like you need in one of those pictures. Here is a copy of his post:

Put a new album together in Webshots. It's pics of most of the ebay stash
purchased last month. http://community.webshots.com/user/ruppblackwidow

Click on the parts for sale album.

Per Jeff H, the Photo is #43 of 66 from the parts lot. I tried to post the pic, but no luck.

Well, like StudeRich, I'm reluctant to break up a power steering setup. Offered it to you for that price to offset the loss I deal myself by making a set less valuable.
I hope you find one for considerably less.:D

$80.00 is a very fair price, especially if you need it [^]

Save them for a while you may want to put them back on and to buy them back may be hard and expensive.

Keith, What I am saying is I have modified Stude suspensions over the years and tried just about every type of steering you can think of in them. If you do not remove the stock Stude front crossmember and put in a modern replacement member and a arms there is no way that you can get the old 20 degree swept back suspension to work with R&P with out killing your self.
