Pretty nice, but if the restoration was so meticulous, why do I see so many ripples in the upholstery? The top of the back seat is ghastly.

Good question, Scott. But it DO look pretty from da outside.;) Painted HL bezels must be by choice and I can't say it looks bad.:D

In regard to the interior, wasn't tan the only color interior that was offered in the 58 Packard Hawks ?

As far as I know, tan was the only option. Meticulous isn't what it used to be.

Bob/MrBiggs - IIRC, painted head light bezels were standard on 1958 Packard Hawks.

A couple of other comments; there were 588 made, the interior should be tan leather, air conditioning was available from the factory on '58 Packard Hawks (but not this late model style A/C).

And the door panels around the armrests too.

Still, I wouldn't turn up my nose at it :)

Was this the car that was featured in 2 issues of Auto Restorer magazine this year ? The AC was added , according to the article but, he did do a good job restoring it. I'd make a bid on it but, the divorce would be more expensive ..:D 2 cars is enough, per the boss...

Yes, very nice! Cars like this one make me wish I'd have bought the 'entry level' Packard Hawk I had a shot at several years ago- that one had an R1/Powershift (with the '58 blower) and interier out of a GT of some vintage... :) :D
Guess you can't have them all!!! [:0] [B)] [V] :(
