While I am at it, I suppose I should look for some carpeting for a 51 Champion 2 door sedan. 10G F5 model. A discussion with a Studebaker friend awhile back said that the F5 might have a different carpet than lower models. Maybe carpet in the back and rubber up front? Anyone know and where to get a good quality at a decent price?

ACC is a big carpet maker for older cars, but they don't have any Studebaker carpets. Original Auto Interiors also don't make Stude carpets,
JP sells carpet, altho I have not yet used his.
Another source is Chester and Herod in CA, website: http://autockm.com/ (The folks at ACC suggested them. C&H buys the bulk carpet from ACC.)
I have heard some good things about Chester and Herod, but have not used theirs either. I have talked to them twice on the phone, and they seemed quite knowledgeable on the Studebaker models, etc, but that sometimes doesn't mean much. Supposedly this is where SI gets their carpet now. Anyone have any feedback on Chester and Herod?
I am close to ordering carpet for my '54 Champion sedan, but not sure who I will get it from. Apparently there are only a couple of companies that actually make the carpet sets, but a lot of distributors that use these companies. And the distributors are very close to the chest on who actually makes theirs. For example, I asked the guy at Kanter who made their carpet sets, and he told me "I don't know, they don't tell us that." Oh well, they must think the customer is stupid if they will believe that, so I scratched them off the list<G>!
Most sets I have prices for my '54 have been from $150 (from the company that makes JCWhitney's carpet) to $250. This includes the pad.

I sell the carpets, $220 set/$15 UPS. I thought you were looking for the rubber mat for the front and that I don't have.

I was told once a long time ago that different models had different setups as far as maybe rubber up front and carpet in the rear. Im not trying to be 100% correct on the car, but carpet in Florida just isnt a good thing when it comes to sand.

I think Studebaker International has the rubber flooring for the front.
