I just bought a 1950 Studebaker Champion, will be picking it up next week. I hope to restore it to as close to origional as I can. Any advice.

My advice; Join the Studebaker Drivers Club (from this site) and your local Chapter. Buy the proper shop manual and parts books for your car. Welcome to the wonderful world of Studebakers. I would get the car to run and stop first before worrying about cosmetics. As you come upon specific problems/questions/challenges ask here.

Its a 1950 Studebaker Champion, 6 cyl, 4 door. I wanted it because of the doors. It was comance red. It has a lot of surface rust but no holes and floor is good. The seats, door panels and head liner is rotted. The dash is intact with a radio. The engine is intact except for plug wires and is free.Comment
