The manual identifies tires for this 8 cylinder model as 6.70 15 s. What's the proper radial size?

A Hawk (too tight on a Lark) will take a P215 75R X 15 radial tire. But... many other posts here found by the "search" mode, say that modern tire diameters are not as tall as the original for correct speedo reading, and getting one that large requires too wide a tire ie: 225 or 245 which is too wide for your little 4 1/2 in. wide rim.

i have 215 75 r 15 on my hawk and work great speedo is spot on. translating to tires are the right hieght.
my lark has the sme on the rear. but dropping to 205 75 r 15 on the front kept it from rubbing.
I am sure many differnet sizes will work though.
