  • 53 coupe headed back west

The 53 coupe just sold on ebay and is headed back west to Texas. From his e-mail it looks like we got one more sucked back in. <g>

    Partial e-mail:

" I owned a '53 Commander coupe from '58 to '74 during which time I upgraded brakes, built a 289 engine with 4bbl, rewired, converted to 12V, swapped 4.55 gears for 3.54s and added AC with compressor bracket (for York) that I designed. Hated to sell it, but family responsibilities forced me to sell. Here I go again!

Almost 3000 miles round trip for a Studie or ( Studee) Loy sure loves his ( Studebakers) Check out his High Plains Chapter.Great pictures of his Weasel. Anyone else in StudeLand travel that far for a Studebaker

My 1948 M-16 and the Studebaker buggy left Vern Ediger's place in Kansas yesterday and will be in Virginia tomorrow. That should balance out the recent attrition from the East Coast.

Sorry, Gary. You're over your limit on big Studebaker trucks. Your new M16 needs to come West to Bellingham .

              Dick,

I also have a '52 2R17A flatbed dump and a '63 E-28 with 16,268 original miles and all 7 original tires. I have recently sold 2 other 2 ton trucks as well as a couple of Champs, so the inventory is running low! I will be happy to send most any of them to Washington but the '46 firetruck, the '55 grain truck and the 4WD.
