This listing too has been invalidated by eBay. They are moving faster than they used to. Scams cost money and make buyers leery of real deals.

It's faster because we can now report it to them right from the page. look for the "report this item" at page bottom.

There have been several others in the past day. Yesterday there was a 1954 Pontiac Bonneville Special on eBay. The buy-it-now price was $5,200.00. I think there were only two of these concept cars made and the other one sold at Barrett Jackson for $3,024,000.00!

Our local chapter president advised earler today there were several more cars with the same outrageous buy-it-now price including a 55 Corvette, 57 T-Bird, 57 Chevy convertible. All showed to be completely restored and with buy-it-now prices of $6,500.00. Not sure what the con is, but I am sure you and your money will soon be parted.

The scam usually works like this:

"If you wish to buy my car, use the Ebay payment system here." (link) That directs you to a fake page that tells you how to wire a the money to the scammers account and kiss it goodbye.:)

I have been following a scam on Ebay that was for farm eq. The tractors were advertised with a buy it now price of $4k in the body of the ad and instructions to email the seller through a link in the ad, not by ask seller a quetstin link. I did the ask seller a question and told them their acct was hacked and to contact Ebay. A couple wrote back with thanks. Ebay sent a personalized letter (not form) after several times of this. I must have sabotoged 200 auctions like this. (it was fun and reminded me of my law enforcement days) I did receive 2 responses from 2 of the people reassuring me that the auction was real, ie a 10k tractor for 4K. The one guy told me that I should have better things to do than emailing people. I wrote him back saying that we could meet at the tractor and I would give him full price. His response was that he had a buyer.
