A few days ago I posted a question to the tech board here asking for carburator help for my 54 champion, turns out some former owner left out some carb parts (no wonder why it didn't run well). anyways I got it back together and the carb works like it should now.
I had promised some local dignataries (including our US congressman) they could use the car to ride in our local memorial day parade.
Well about 2 weeks ago I was coming back from a cruise night about 20 miles away and blew out a head gasket. Got the head off and found also something broke and took some chunks out of #1 piston. I got the engine back together 3am the night before the parade.
The picture was taken when I got back from the parade sitting in our yard.
