I don't know how that works out to US$$$, but it's at $3.07 on my NAVY base~ which means it's OVER $3.20 everywhere else in San Diego!!! [V]

I'm begining to think I may actually put a six in my motor-less '57 Champion... [:0] :(

Did all the mental gymnastics needed to convert Cdn to US dollar and Imperial gallons to US and it worked out to $3.70/US gallon so San Fran is comparable to us price wise.

It's 3.69 and 3.99 for gas here, diesel at 3.05.

As to the sixes, there is very little gain. They have to work so much harder to haul these heavy old cars around and in town there's not only no gain, they get worse. You'd be better off with an OD tranny. Stay off the accelerator.;) Also, all the company documentation will tell you these cars are designed to get optimum mileage at 55mph, fwy driving. So, take your time, get there five minutes later, and save bucks!:D A fair trade in my humble opinion.[^]

Last year going to the Schrock Brothers and back, we averaged 22 mpg in the 56J. I know that sound wrong, but it is true. The fuel guage does not work properly so we would drive about 100 o 120 miles and fill up. Never took more than 5.5 to 6.1 gallons.

Hi guys,
I filled up my cute little Lark on the way to work this morning with motion lotion in middle England.

Price converted into US gallons is a very exciting $6.34 per gallon

So Lennart, you old rascal in Sweden, I win a bit more than you.

Do we have any French or Italians in the forum to peg the UK price?

Are you subject to the tax imposed for driving into London?
A friend over there says that his tax is the equivlant to $297 a month, but since he has a "flat" in London he gets it reduced to less than $20 per month.
