  • Red Line tires

Did any of the Studebakers in '63/'64 come with factory redline tires option or std? Just wondering since they did have Halibrand wheels available.

Not sure, but I DO know of a R4 Avanti clone with halibrands and red line tires.

Red lines were never a option on a Studebaker. Not sure if red lines were even available until the late 60's.

At the Monroe, WA swap meet today, I saw a set of 4 Michelin 185/15 red lines...nearly new looking and not weather checked. $150. Almost bought them just "because". Great look!

Royal Redline tires were standard on the '64 GTO so they were around in 1964. Not sure about 1963 however I think redlines would look cool on my 63 2dr Lark Sedan if I paint her black and use doggie-dish hubcaps. Sinister!

I have tried to invision what they would look like on the '54. Had a red '63 Ch**y that I put them on, really liked the look on that car. I [u]THINK</u> I would like them on my car, but am having difficulty seeing it in my mind's eye. Oh, well... I think it will be some time before I have to worry about new tires, so it's not really an issue right now.
