decoding a tag on the firewall

I was dropping my Champion's six back in, and happened to glance at the tag up on the firewall. I've noticed it before, but never paid it much mind. Anyways, is there a site where I can find out what it decodes to? Thanks in advance.

Azrael4h; I did a Search using our great search engine at the R/H top of the page and found lots of posts about them under "body tags". But none that I quickly read say how to decode it.

It is realy simple though if you have the Studebaker Chassis or Body Parts Catalog on CD disc. or Book form, in the very front all models are listed for each year the book covers. Usually the top line is the body type and trim level and bottom is the numeric sequence that the body tub was welded up in WITHIN THAT SPECIFIC BODY TYPE that year! Yours should be a 14G ('53 Champion) then F for 2dr. Sedan & 1,3 or 5 (Custom, Deluxe or Regal) followed by it's sequence number. Probably does not tell you anything you didn't already know! [:0]
