Today was the last school day of the year, so I drove the $2.00 2R15 to school today. It ran fine, except for a little flooding when cranking. I rode a couple of teachers around and was the talk of the day. Didn't get to dump out anything though... (sheesh) Now, to fix that gas guage, it reads 1/2 of a tank no matter what.

I think Matt will have better luck with the girls after he trades for that 1/2 ton of his Granddad's than with a 2 ton dump truck. I mean, what girl wants to be dumped?

Transtar56: Mr. Hinton went on and on about how grreat a guy you are and how he really liked that truck. If he has a Studebaker, it's going to be in top notch shape, at least by the time he gets through with it. ;) I've been to his place several times when he had a LOT of cars, he's really cut back now, but his were definitely 1st place National cars. What I'm saying is that your truck is in good hands. [^]

DilloCrafter, I think you're right. A pickup IS a better looking truck than a 1 1/2 dump truck. Even though the pickup is/was/will be Omaha Orange... BTW, he's not going to put the 259 in it, he's decided to just fix the flat head six.

Glad to hear that Matt,I thought Nolie was a real nice guy too.
We,him,me and my Dad,had a long chat about Studebakers, then Dad had to show off his 52 International, saying something like "now heres a REAL pick-up"(G)
Then we loaded the Transtar and Nolie headed back to Florida. I hope I have that kind of energy if Im lucky enough to reach his age.

Nollie's a good guy, and he's really a character too. He has some NICE cars. His 04 Avanti convertible is his current favorite. Every time I get down there, his inventory has nearly completely changed.
