  • Studebaker that will never leak

Also,no engine or tranny re-builds,very little up-keep. The downside, its apt to be slow unless you've got legs like Lance Armstrong.

It's a resale red convertible to boot.

Is that guy sure it's supposed to be a Studebaker? I don't quite recognize the model in miniature. Maybe that's one of Bob Bourke's designs that we have never seen until now.

It looks like a generic car from the late '50s-early '60s to me. With a stretch of the imagination, perhaps a '61 (maybe'62} Lark. That's the only possible Studebaker that I see in it.

            Interesting, Gary sees a '61-'62 Lark, I see a '64-'65 Lark Type!
I also agree, it really was not intended to represent ANY Stude. certainly not 1953! Because of the "Aluminum look" one piece front insert panel it resembles a '64 or '65 Stude or Plymouth. Because the grille is integrated with headlights, it does not resemble a '59-'63 Lark, all of which had a painted front panel, with Lts & Grille bolted on.[xx(]
            [}]just my opinion, Rich.

I had one like that in blue. I always thought it was a Ford. When I got older I thought it was a Falcon, to be exact. But, Studebaker? Not on your tin stamp! My brother had a Willys jeep that had a folding windshield and a gun mount on the back. His always seemed cooler.

I have seen both a Lark and a 53 pedal car and I don't think that's either. Having said that, judging from the collection on the guy's shelves, he no doubt knows more about them than I.
