  • Opinion on what it's worth?

I've been watching this 61 Lark; I like it, not too far away, but I think he wants a bit much...

What should this be worth? If no one bids I want to make him an offer...

Well, it needs front fenders, has door and rocker rust and needs paint, put 3K in it and you'd have a 3K 4 door. As a driver, as is, maybe $1200 ?

Thanks, I'm thinking it's worth a little more to me than most because it's within pick-up range; even still I was thinking $1200-1400 range...

I've always wanted a Lark, and a 61; like the quad headlights with the old-style tail; even like the 4 door! Would have liked a stick, but auto's fine...

Can't tell you why I like it; I must have major issues....[8D]

I think if you can get it for a price that you are comfortable paying after you check it out thouroughly you should go for it, in the end it really dosen't matter what the car would be worth unless you are buying it with the hopes of reselling it later at a profit or at least breaking even.

I agree, 5859... it's not about resale for me; I'd like one to keep- restore to original with a few modern upgrades (disc brakes, A/C, maybe different upholstery)...

Just trying to get an idea if it's worth $200, or $2000, or something else... and opinions on the car based on the ad...

It didn't get a bid- so I'm going to make him an offer tonight... we shall see.......

I saw this car too and thought that if it were located closer I would bid on it as a driver. I would say $1,500 would be plenty much for the car in the condition it is in. On the plus side it is a 1st year Cruiser, but it looks like it might have some painted and puttied cancer. Good luck on your best offer! Let us know how you came out.

For the money you would have to spend on that Lark you could ship mine across the country, or better yet fly out and drive it back.

Please don't suggest shipping rust free cars, you'll kill my business.
I've never figured out the reason folks won't pay a small part of what it would cost to fix rust on shipping. I can buy a rust free car out west for say 7K, ship it for a grand and turn it on the east coast for a tidy profit to someone that wants one close.
