57 Hawk... not Gold or Silver?

We just pulled a 1957 Studebaker Hawk out of a garage where it has stored (and not driven) for 30 years.

It does not have the "Golden or Silver lettering and badge" on the trunk lid panel...just the painted words Studebaker Hawk....

It has a plate with...57H-C3 6062 inside the engine compartment on the 'firewall'.

I'm just guessing...but, this is the bottom line 1957 Studebaker Hawk, yes?

The 57H C3 is a Silver Hawk.
The 6062 simply means it was the 6062 body of that type welded up and made ready for the production line. Can't tell much from that number.

Hey, Thanks, you all...so it's a Silver Hawk...well, at least we have somewhere to start, now.

It's a silver Hawk and most likely, it's had it's trunk lid replaced somewhere along the way. The same trunk lids from 56 thru 63 are used with only minor differences in trim mounting holes and lock mechanisims.
It should have a 289 cu.in. V8 in it.[]
