I saw a cadillac tri-power on ebay and was wondering about distributor interference on a studebaker engine. I noticed this particular intake takes the larger Rochester carbs for the two end ones, causing the intake to have been made slightly longer than earlier manifolds; like the one I bought recently that takes three carbs all the same size. Any experience with the difference in fitting these two manifolds to the stude?

Not just the distributor will be real tight, but the oil fill pipe will be tight also. And the carb base bolt pattern will limit your choices of carbs to Rochester, and Carter (IIRC).
Caddy manifolds will bolt to a Stude engine, after you do some pretty major bolt hole work, and some major port grinding.
You won't gain much, if any performance over a good Stude manifold.
The port alignment is poor, at best.

You would be better off to get one of the recently re-cast Smoljan tri-power intakes from Dave Thiebault. It will accept Stromberg 97 carbs, or Holley 94 carbs, and with some work, you can run Stromberg WW's on them.
Here are some pic's of a raw T-Bolt Smoljan repop...

Most peoiple I know do it for looks mainly.
I do have a dual quad Caddy intake all modified and ready to go, with AFB plates on it.
