I would like to change the rear backing plates from one car to another. The problem is the parking brake cable. can it be removed from the backing plate? I won't cut them and I don't want the hassle of re-threading the cable. The various nuts and bolts are a real pain to get to. So, can I get these cables out of the backing plates[?][?][?][?]

Oops![:I] Forgot. The donor car is a '64 wagon and the reciepient is a '62 sedan. Sooooo[?][?][?][?][?][?]
