Yes, this show was better than my morning coffee! Seems like a down to earth guy. Saw lots of rust free steel that would look good in my garage! He said he had 80 Studes! I would have liked to have seen more of that supercharged Champ too!

Mr. gauge loves Studebakers, we had a world of wheels here and he was one of the guess, we arrived on thursday to set up and it took us well into the night. He had a booth there as well. When I came in friday I got word that he wanted to get a pic of my ,him and my Stude. My Studebaker was the only Stude at the show(150 cars) He was real happy that someone brought a Stude to a major show like that. He is a great guy and very knowlegable. That episode of my classic car was one of the best in the past 5 years aside from the national meets that he covers, that Hawk was enchanting! I have got to get me some Kelsey/Hayes rims:D

Studebakers forever!

Rats!!! I forgot to set up the Tivo. Will set it for the 23rd. Scott has some fine and interesting cars. Did they show his black 60 Hawk. It is awsome. I have been to his place several times. Have known him for about 20 years. It has been warm this week but it way past normal. Average temp is 76

I actually got a chance to sit down Sunday morning, figured I'd see what might be on the speed channel, and low and behold, My Classic Car is on. Now normally I am happy just to be watching the show (usually the kids keep us too busy to do this!)but can hardly believe they are focusing on Studes...quick hit the DVR record button. The my wife sits down as they are taking the Cruiser out for a ride, and she says it's really cute (last time she showed interest, I got a '37 Dictator rod project). I mention to her these are pretty affordable, she raises an eyebrow.....now to figure out how to get one while I have "perceived" permission.......

"My wife would go into cardiac arrest if she saw your car"
-that reminds me of when my 63 Lark was towed to my house. The tow truck driver had his wife with him and he said to me "My wife said she'd divorce me if I brought something like that home". haha
Well, I'm not divorced yet!

Hey Tod, I am lucky my wife has a short memory. She saw my car however I have so much restored stuff around here that is going in the car she forgot how rough it was, I was over there today and the progress is slow because everytime we remove something we hit more rust and have to weld in a panel. I have not posted any pic because I want to show some serious progress. It's coming along however next week I think we will turn a corner. I have always wanted to street rod an old stude like you have however once I start on it, it turns out all original. I have never found one that was street rodded all ready, good luck with it!

Haha. One thing I have learned is it's nice having a garage that's NOT attached to the house and is located at the other end of the property- We have a road that is in front of the house and another one that runs behind the back of my property. The entrance to my new garage runs off the back road. It's easier now to unload a bunch of new parts without being noticed! I call the back road the "parts delivery lane". :)
