I see everyone keeps dancing around this post but won't answer. Okay, here goes[]....

You've gotta have a website to post the pictures, then link them back here using the little picture tool on the Format section of the reply page. You can use Webshots, Pbase or something like that....or your own website.

All I get is a box with an "X" in it.
This is not on webshots, it's on geocities.

I kept having problems with Webshots, it was most likely me [8] so I just signed up with Shutterfly and apparently it is easire because I got it to work on my first try

Create photo books, personalize photo cards & stationery, and share photos with family and friends at Shutterfly.com.

Even Dummies can use it []

mbstude: The reason your photo didn't show up in the post above is because you used the URL for the geocities page the photo sits on, rather than the URL of the photo itself. Your actual photo URL is: http://www.geocities.com/mbstude/060205061956.jpg. Now this particular photo shouldn't be posted as it is simply too big (more than 28" @ 72 dpi) and it'll force the forum thread to be that width (and folks will be forced to side scroll (unless they have a 30" monitor). That's why the how-to asks that you make photos smaller (the 4" x 6" was just a guideline) for forum posting. Good luck.

When I click open in new window, I still get all the other stuff around it. Not just the pic alone.

When you are on the photo page (in your case, http://www.geocities.com/mbstude/stude.html), right-click on the photo and a menu will pop up. In IE or Safari browsers, the choice to select is "Open Image in New Window". If using Firefox, the choice is "View Image". The image then opens on a blank page. The URL shown in the browser navigation bar is that image's address.

A short cut, if your browser offers it, is a "Copy Image Address" (or location) choice in the pop-up menu. Selecting this chioice will just copy the actual image address, which you can then paste into the post (after first making sure that the photo is a manageable size!)

                    Hope this helps.

I still can't seem to get it to work. Oh well, I'll figure it out one day. Thank you very much for your assistance, you are probably somewhat aggravated at that 15 year old kid. I know I would be, but it's hard to be aggravated at yourself, for me anyways. I can post a pic from another website, but not webshots. I can only do it if I google a certain subject, and a certain website has the pic on a blank page. Like this:
