Has anyone on the forum ever had any rust repair done using the spray weld technique that Rustbusters does? The www.rustbustersllc.com site has a video that makes it sound great, but of course leaves a lot of questions unanswered. any feedback is welcome. Does it work? Does it last? Does it cost an arm and a leg?

It's not cheap and useless for anything other than surface rust and pin holes. If the rust is structual, they have to weld in patch panels anyway. The process is the modern replacement for leading.

That's what I got out of the website too. The folks using it have to pay for their 35 grand investment by charging quite a bit to spray the Swiss cheese holes shut. A spray-on frame repair would sure be handy, though, wouldn't it? Imagine how many Studebakers could be brought back with something like that! And heck, while you're down at the shop getting the floor sprayed back in to the Lark you found in the swamp, you could go next door and have new windows sprayed into the doors. Why didn't someone think of this sooner?
