6/12 Batteries

Has anyone used the so-called 6/12 battery set-up in there 6 volt Stude. Need info on how it has worked out

They are too large to fit in most Studebaker 6V battery mounts. The 6/12 is usually made in a group 24 case. There is also a height problem as well. They do work in certain cases.
