Has anyone ever attempted, successfully or otherwise to convert a six volt positive ground Stude to electronic ignition? Is there any kind of kit in existence for such a thing? Until I signed up and started reading posts on this site I was unaware that such a thing as an internal regualtor alternator for a six volt negative ground sytems existed.
My thought is that with the price of gas these days, we would want to squeeze the best mileage possible out of our cars, even the ones we don't drive as much. Many fellow members advocate keeping the car as original as possible and keeping the Studebaker engine, so I was just curious if such a thing as a six volt electronic ignition conversion is possible or just one of my crazy ideas.
