I bid on them, as a novility item. Looks like some folks are very interested. Beauty is, indeed, in the eye of the beholder!

OK, with some days left to go - what do you want to guess will be the final price that these skirts will fetch?[:p]
While the majority of opinions here, were that these weren't a cool thing to put on a C-K, we all know that SOMEONE will crave these things (like the fella that started the discussion of repro-ing these things in another thread). Given their relative "rareness", they'll certainly command more that the $305 they're sitting at as of this morning. So what WILL they ultimately bring?[:I] I'm gonna throw out a guess of $600 bucks. What say the rest of you?
And SPEAKING of rare parts and high prices.... How many of you saw this super-rare pieces of plastic?[:0][:0][:0]

I'll bite. The skirts will go to $550. That Packard part will go close to $600, but not over that. I didn't think the last one went quite this high...

Dave,

That Packard piece already sold. The auction was over a couple weeks ago. $560 was the final price. Incredible I thought! And I was thinking about bidding on it at $150 when it first was listed. Silly me![xx(]

I did think it odd that there would be two from the same guy so close together- didn't notice the date- SORRY! Still amazing! Did you see his NOS fiberglass fender panels ('58 Packard) a month or so ago?

Yeah, I actualy bought a couple of chrome pieces from him for a wagon tailgate (fit my 58) for a real decent price.
I had asked him about that plastic emblem and he told me several other folks had asked as well. I think the inquires must have clued him that it would do well as he started the bidding at $150 and it went nuts from there![:0]
I've got a used one of those emblems that I took off a 58 Pack wagon in '97. Of course, all it's colors are long gone and it's got lot's of crazing to it but it's just to look at. I'll never have a car for it to adorn.;)
