Does anyone know what the NAPA parts number (or other readily available outfit) is for headlights for my '59 Lark? Low beam just went out on the passenger side. Thanks.

A 12 volt round bulb, sealbeam should do the trick, two total headlight system. Try a halogen H6024 ,I subistuted this and it is so much better than a sealbeam the amps are not much more.

yes. Are you running sealed beams? If so then I would get yourself some reflectors that take H4 bulbs (Cibie are excellent) and then you can get 6V H4 halogen bulbs from various Porsche or VW parts places. I am not aware of any 6V halogen sealed beams, but that doesn't mean that someone doesn't make them.

Actually I recommend the Cibie reflectors anyway, even for 12V. Also a relay harness. One caveat; "E-code" or European beam pattern headlights aren't legal everywhere in the US, but they sure do work better (lots of light down low on low beam with a sharp cutoff so as not to blind other drivers, but amazing high beams)

If you just want a plain headlight like original, use a number 6014. Nothing special, millions of cars used them for years and they are readily available anywhere.

H 6024 is the 12 volt halogen #. A 6 volt halogen would make sense for a 6 volt replacement. Was the Lark in 1959 6 volt? If so the 12 volt H6024 would not work.

Studebaker went to the 12 volt system beginning with the 1956 models.
