About 6 or 8 years ago, I cut a tree about half that diameter that was growing up and around the engine in a 40 Commander. Man - if you think THAT wasn't a job!
I HAD to cut it BELOW the chassis so I could move the car once it was cut. But the tires had all gone flat before the tree had ever sprouted.:( This meant there was no way I could get a chain saw under there to make it a fairly easy task.:(
By the time I had cut my way thru the trunk, my arms were CRYIN' for relief! Once I got the car home, I did manage to cut away the remaining portions of tree trunk from around the engine and inner fender.
With some priming and a couple of jumper wires, that old Commander six coughed a bit and ran pretty good, considering it had set since about 1950 or so!:D

We will no doubt be seeing this one on Ebay soon, after a real quick paint job. It obviously has had very low mileage, lately. The firewood(is it oak or elm?) will be listed separately, I suppose. [:0]:)

It would only be fitting to run that log through a sawmill and have oak flooring made for the truck bed.

If it goes on Ebay you can be sure it will fetch a good buck. As you know, Woodys are quite valuable these days! :D Or am I barking up the wrong tree? haha
