Any one out there know of a distributor of the old fashion type cloth covered color wiring . I'm not looking for a company that makes firing harness , like Rode Island Wiring , just some supply of that type of wiring .

You can also buy just the braid-covered wire and connectors from Rhode Island Wiring at http://www.riwire.com. Nice people, good quality, even if complete harnesses are pricey. You can also buy wires (and complete Stude harnesses) from Y 'n Z at http://www.ynzyesterdaysparts.com/. Click on their Catalog button and see the PDF catalog of conectors and wires. For good prices on Stude harnesses with vinyl wiring, try Studebakers West in the SF Bay area, 650-366-8787.

Rhode Island Wire sells wire and terminals, as well as a few harnesses already made up. Wire is available by the foot in different colors, plastic, or cloth covered.
Look under "Supplies" at http://www.riwire.com/ .

Find a place where they scrap out old transit buses. Cloth braided wire was used in them for years, apparently, and the wire on the inside of the coach body will usually be in as-new condition.
