There was a Parkview wagon in 1956 and 1957. A Pelham wagon is a six cylinder and Provincial & Parkview are V8 wagons. (There was also a Broadmoor wagon, but that is not a P name.)Gary L.

Pinehurst, Provincial, ParkVIEW (Which WOULD BE a '56 or '56 Commander series wagon!), Pelham and Broadmoor were station wagon names thru 56 to 58. NO Commander wagons after 58.
Parkwood.... Wasn't that a 59 er 60 Chevy wagon?

If it's a V8 and hasn't been 'messed with' it sounds like a '56 Parkview. If it's a 6 then it's a Pelham. Here's why-
In '56 the wagons had script on the front fenders telling you which series it was (I.E. Champion, Commander, or President) and then had a script on the tailgate telling you which model wagon- I.E. Pelham, Parkview, Pinehurst.
In '57 there was no script on the tailgate- just the fenders- and they would've been any one of the 5 wagon models. There were only two 2 door models in '57, Pelham and Parkview- not counting the Scotsman, which shouldn't have anything on the front fenders at all...
BTW- the '56 &'57 'Parkview' scripts are different for sure, I don't know about the Pelham. If anyone ever sees one of either look me up-- I want them!!! [8D]

OK Dave. HOW are they different???[:0][}] I'd never noticed. I see that the same holds true for the Pelham script as well. I've got some Parkview and Pelham scripts and I want to know which ones I've got.
No, they're not for sale.

I have a 56 pelham 2 dr wagon. The script is on the tailgate, all indications are it is the original one. If someone needs a picture or anything except for the script itself I am willing help. I assume these are no longer available. How about the front fender champion scripts??

On the Parkview scripts that I have seen- it's all in the 'w', and the way the script continues after it (the 'w'). On the '56 the continuation comes off the top of the 'w', and the '57s it comes off the bottom. I think it has to do with how in '56 all the sedans had Champion/Commander/Pesident scripts on their fenders. Studebaker didn't want to have different fenders drilled for any different scripts just for '57. That's my thought... [?] Any other ideas?
To tell 'em apart- match up a Champion/Commander/President script to them. If all the pegs on the 'Pelham/Parkview' line up- it's a '57. In '56 the 'Pelham/Parkview' scripts were only used on the tailgates, so their pegs won't match up with one of the Champion/Commander/President scripts.
Are you sure you don't need those things? (wink/wink, nudge/nudge...)
BTW- I found another wagon, but I don't know which model it is just yet! Based on descriptions of those who have seen it I think it's a '57 Pelham... Time will tell, and then so will I! [8D]

I was digging thru a box of scripts yesterday and found some Parkview, Pelham and Provincial scripts - as well as the common Studebaker, Commander, Champion, President etc, etc.
