(1) It has been said that aluminum heads takes heat away from the
chamber but you can run about half a point more compression. Will this
half point more than make up for heat loss as far as power?


YES


(2) Will these heads be a modern design so that they will produce more
power (more flow, velocity, etc.) so we can expect maximum power from
them?


YES


(3) Could these heads be made with built in adapters or altered angle
to be able to use Mopar or Chevy type intakes where the ports already
line up with the Stude ports that would give us a variety of intakes to
choose from?


YES BUT WON'T. WILL USE MANIFOLD I MAKE.


(4) On the intakes, will they be sheet metal or aluminum type and will
they be latest designs to be a big improvement over our stock Stude
intakes?


CAST ALUMINUM AND YES


(5) Are aluminum heads prone to gasket failure at signs of
overheating?


NO, PLENTY OF HEAD BOLTS ON A STUDE


(6) I'm looking for better fuel mileage. Will these heads contribute
to that or just better performance?


NO


(7) Will we be able to still use Stude valves, guides, seats, etc.?


WILL COME WITH NEW SEATS AND GUIDES. WILL HAVE TO USE A NEW VALVE


(8) Would there be an advantage to using reverse flow cooling to go
higher on compression?


YES


(9) Will the intakes be about the same height so they will fit under
the hood of the Hawks (not much room with the stock intake)?

(10) (Mr. Bradshaw, this is my question. Ted) What do you need in
order to get this started assuming we have 25 commitments? (10%, 50%,
etc. down?)


NOTHING TIL I GET A CASTING. THEN 50% AND THE BALANCE WHEN WE SHIP.
WE WILL TRY TO KEEP SOME IN STOCK AFTER THAT.


I also talked to Mr. Bradshaw on the phone about any changes making it
possible for two different customers getting two slightly different
heads. Specifically, I was asking about the center exhaust port and he
said he thought he would be able to provide a head with stock type
ports for the stock exhaust manifold and also, for a small increase,
make the center port wider and split it so we could make a set of four
tube headers.


I also asked about using a stock intake and he said the stock intake
will still bolt up to the new heads. He feels the new intake will be
about $425. That sounded a little high to me but he pointed out there
would be no further expense in getting adapters made and that the $200
intakes in some of the wholesale catalogs are not good intakes. I can
verify that from several years ago when I tried to use a popular
Torquer II. It did not work as well as the stock intake. Also I just
ordered an Edelbrock Victor intake for a Ford friend (part number 2965)
and it was $310. Also, I believe the only aluminum intake we have
available now is about $375.


Altogether I only got about 10 people that sounded pretty definite on
purchasing these. Now we need to decide if we have 25 people that
would definitely commit. As you read above, no money down yet but we
need to know for sure so please do not "commit" if you are not sure.

16. Spring pockets for modern easily available springs (like the semi-new, "ovate" conical spring) >>>> YES
