Anyone know what the Studebaker 6 cyl and 8 cyl engine weigh (63 Vintage)?

I know for certain the V8's are 685 lbs. with stick flywheel. That's a 53 out of a K.

They weigh too much. We always joke that they would have made good anchors for the navy.(they're heavy enough) But I can't complain too much about one of the best V8's produced.

1963 six cylinder 504 lbs dry with clutch
1963 V8 259.2 710 lbd dry with clutch
289 725 lbs dry with clutch

Figures from 8E truck specifications book. No explanation for the 15lb
diffence in 259/289.
