I have a 63 Avanti R2/R3. I pulled the blower because the bearings felt a little sloppy. I'm getting new bearings but I don't know where to get them. I had the parts store run the numbers and they have some, but I don't want some cheap things that will wear out soon. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Try Phil Harris of Fairborn Studebaker. He has what used to be Ted Harbit's parts business so he may have some.

Bearings weren't made for Paxton. A Paxton Engineer selected a suitable bearing from a bearing manufacturer's range. Pick a manufacturer you're comfortable with ("good" name) and get what they recommend for your application.
The bearing manufacturer usually gives good advice, they don't want their product to fail in service.

A Paxton is not like a eenerator that you can just slap new bearings in and all's well. The planetary drive often needs replacement as do seals. I personally pay a pro to go through my blowers to be safe.
