289 in a 49 half ton

I have a 49 half ton and want to install a 289 with a T10 behind it. Easy or difficult?

The early 2R's lacked the engine support K frame that allows an easy installation of the Stude V8/Commander six. I forget exactly what serial # the frame was changed but theres a related discussion on Stude truck talk . Look at 1949 2R10 frame discussion started by Ray. Toward bottom of the page.

posts regarding this subject as it comes up constantly.
The T-10 part you'll have to fab up as that tranny was never used in Stude trucks except maybe in a engineering dept test mule.
