  • Value of NOS Avanti tail lights?

I have a pair of NOS Avanti tail lights (complete with lens, gaskets, bulbs). I have been reluctant to sell them, but a friend of Don Simmons learned that I have them and wants them real bad. What are they worth? Any ideas?
    Thanks,

BIG bucks likely, but I THINK they are being repod by the guys in Ohio. But someone may just want the originals. Not too long ago I sold an R1 air cleaner complete and new for $200 and I'm thinking I should have sold it for twice that. But I was hoping a hobbyist would get it. Instead it went to a dealer. At $200 I would have been happy for the guy that got it, but not a dealer.
    P. S. Anyone know where a front clip can be found for a '63 Avanti?

If you can deal with glassing the pieces together as the factory did, I would think that S.I. would still have some of the Expressly Avanti Co. parts left or that "other" Avanti guy, is it Nostalgic Avanti In Wixom, MI ? Certainly not my first choice.

                Hi Paul,
Don is a real good guy and if you have ever bought an exhaust system off him, he always offers a deal. If ever there was a kind heart in the club, it is Don.

So do him a deal, and take a parts exchange of an exhaust system or something. He definitely make the best ones available.

                Regards

Paul - The fairest way may be to put them on eBay and let the market determine the price. I would let Don know when you list them. On the other hand, if you just want Don to have them for his own use, sell them to him for $250.

Thanks, Rich. I read the post too quickly. In that case, I would say, just put them on eBay and let the market determine the correct price. I would let Don know so that he can tell his friend when they are on eBay. Not everyone follows everything on eBay.
