    Boy oh Boy!! Studebaker really used high tech stuff! The float is a cork![:0] No, half a cork!![)] Oh jeez..

    What year is the corker? Did they ever go to metalic floats? Cork work fine.

      Cork works fine for many years. Replacements corks are available for a buck or two.

      I had a 1990 Lincoln. When the fuel gauge went in the tank, I had to replace the fuel pump as well. Hundreds of dollars.

      Got rid of that car - still have the Stude.

        Fuel gauge sender for a Dakota will cost ya $350.
