  • Studebaker and Speed Week in Smithsonial Magazine

In the current issue of the Smithsonian Magazine, on page 22, is a short article on Speed Week at Bonneville Salt Flats.

Very few cars are mentioned, including a highly modified RX 7 and a '53 yellow Studebaker, driven by Bob Drury.

Perhaps the Studebaker marque is beginning to get the recognition it deserves.

I saw that too. I was hoping there would be a picture of the Stude. Maybe there is a website about the salt flats that would have pictures of the cars. Anyone know?

      Here's one link to a Stude's experiences.

Ignore the 'can't find' message and click on the left margin items, one at a time. There are images in some of them.

This car set a class record in August 2004, is returning this year to better it.
