View Full Version : 1963 R2 Aanti for sale

Hello Again, I am basically trying to give an Avanti away at a great
price. I have attached pictures on this site:

It is a 1963 Studebaker Avanti serial 3493 that I bought from the
original owner, Mr. Fierro. This person ordered it from the dealer
(Partex Motors in NJ) with HD front and rear springs, AM radio, seat
belts, power windows, NO Power Steering, 3.31 TT, and power windows,
with an R2 engine and 4 spd trans. By the way, this is the guy who
invented the Hurst shifter for the Avanti. He ordered the car with a
deluxe interior with the perforated seats because he said that the
seats stay cooler, and without air, he needed that.

In 1966, the Granetelli's put an R3 engine in it, which is in the car
now and I'm keeping. In 1977, Newman and Altman repainted the car and
put an R3 suspension in the front. Car has everything and is missing
nothing, except the engine when I pull it out. The R2 engine that was
removed is not in my possession. I may have a lead on where it may be.

I am willing to sell the car for $2750 without the engine or trans. I
will take $3000 and sell the car with the Trans. Trans would also come
with the prototype Hurst shifter. Essentially, I would be selling the
complete car, less the R3 engine.

I do have rare parts that I would sell at a bargain such as a brand new
rebuilt Paxton supercharger, avanti waterpump manifold, avanti
vibration dampner, supercharger bracket, aluminum 4sp drive shaft, my
repro R3 8000 RPM tach, etc. at a bargain if you were interested.

Please only email if you are serious and do not waste my time. I really
don't have the space and don't want to spend the time, money, and
effort on this project since I have 2 other stude's i'm restoring. I
will be happy to answer questions by email or phone.

Thanks, Nimesh

Do a copy and paste of the entire URL. The Avanti is dark red with a cream interior.

What is it that JP says, something like there's nothing more expensive than a cheap Avanti:D?

I have a R2 engine that I may sell to the buyer if logistics permit. I haven't checked to see if it's still good or not. It's in a wrecked parts car thats been sitting a few years.

Guys, i don't know why the link is not working. That is not me, I don't know who that is. You have to copy and paste the complete address in the URL bar instead of clicking it.

Thanks, Nimesh

Do you guys notice that the reason the link does not work is because only part of the address is underlined, so that is why it is going to that odd person's site and not my site. Anyway, just copy and paste the address in the URL bar.

I don't think you have to worry about anything Nimesh sells you. I would have bought the Avanti myself if I had known about it sooner. He is top notch.
