  • 59 v8 lark front springs

Looing for some info on what front coil springs to use.I have a 59 lark with a small block mopar engine and the car has the original lark 6cyl. springs in it and it just bottoms out.I seen someplace that the stude v8 engine is heavier than the mopar v8 so i was going to use the v8 stude springs. So any help on this would be welcome. Thanks Moose

Trivia..The Stude V8 is 750# without the trans attached. You can get HD springs from SASCO, if they have any left. Have you thought about the shocks being gone? Use Gabriel 82087 (front) and Gabriel Classic 82151, with loop bottom for rear.
Alternatively, I know the 63-65 Buick Riviera shocks are the same as above and have seen somewhere that the front springs will also fit (No numbers for them tho).

/quote] Remember that shocks are NOT for supporting the weight of anything... they only control the motion of the spring. The springs are what you need to replace.
