Transmission mounts

I was'nt able to get the tranny in with it's mounts in place. So I put the motor and tranny in without them. Now I can't get the tranny mounts in.

The application is a '62 4dr Regal 6 change to V8.

Everything else has bolted up without problems. I just can't seem to get these bloody tranny mounts back in.[V]

Anyone have a suggestion? [:I]

Bolt them loosely, to the bell housing (so you can wiggle them around a bit as you lower it in place). Maybe only one bolt initially.
Did you remember the thick, steel spacer under the left-hand mount?
