Installed the CNC Cobra/GT brake brackets today

UPDATE for picture location.

In an attempt to get my 3rd article finished for Avanti Magazine, I figured
it would be nice to show the CNCed parts on the car. So today I went out
and installed them. They fit perfectly, no issues, just a simple swap. I am
not sure how consistent Stude was between their spindles, I will find out
from the feedback. Please excuse the oil, when the powersteering went it
got EVERYWHERE. This is after 3 high pressure cleanings!







After I got them on the car, I went out to a local business and took some
shots for consideration for a magazine cover. These are ones I took along
side of the "portrait" pictures. "Landscape" allows the best angles.

Things look real good.I notice the notch not cut out of the new one?You said some thing on one of and earlier post about changing some thing in the grease pocket. Did you?

Thanks Karl, I know you and Kdancy have been itching for them, that
big radius is only needed to mount a 1994-200? single piston caliper.
Both the dual piston calipers dont need it. Since it costs more for
each cut, there is no need to remove it for the Cobra caliper.

I have spoken to the CNC guy about the grease pocket, and also etching
on the front edge (you might notice the taped on paper). He said its
not at all a problem to modify the program to do that. Basically it
will change the pocket from resembling a "keyhole" to a "cam lobe". It
isnt really a design issue as its "looks". I think it will look neat
when its taken out of the box. Once its on the car, you dont ever
see it again![:I]

Are you going to do both styles. Am thinking of putting the single caliper unit on my 64. and the reg Mustang. Brakes on the rear of it.
By the way . Why don't you have braided line on your cars brakes??
I had a bad experience with the rubber lines. put braided on all three cars.

Yes the program exists for both the GT with large single, and also the
GT/Cobra dual piston no radius. You could use the dual piston GT and
those are also aluminum PBR calipers.

EDIT: Talked to a buddy of mine, he said that the 94-98 are single and
the 99-04 are dual piston for the GT. Just FYI.

I bought a set of stainless steel braided lines, but they dont fit the
same way as the rubber hoses. They are also not as flexible.

I still have the original rubber lines on my 237,000 mile Camaro Z28,
so rubber works OK. With your fabrication skills, I am sure you can
find a work around, and then share it with me![:I]
