decode my 51 stude

JDP, all i know that the title says its a 51 champion can any one decode the rest of the code,sn #G1068182 under hood 10G -c5 under that is 10109. thanks

G tells us it's a Champion, the other numbers are the serial number, no info there except how many cars down the line it was. The number under the C5 is the body number. You'd need the build sheet from the Studebaker museum to learn factory color, options and the rest.

10G says it's a 51 Champion. C5 says it's a Regal Deluxe. 10109 is just the line # of that body tub. You have what would rightfully be called a 1951 Champion Regal Deluxe Starlight Coupe. Also referred to as 5-passenger coupe as well.

jdp no i havent heard about the rear arm rest what is it i cant hardly wait.
