Those ring pads that go on the top and bottom of your front coil springs, do they make much of a difference as far as front end noise goes? Am wondering if I should go to the extra expense of replacing those when I do a front end overhaul.

Yes, I my self use the ones from prothane the ureathane ones they are much less noisy it is a common size 5 1/2" like Chevys from 75 Novas up.

Yes! I use 'em too Casey. If ya don't they definitely will make noise, not normally on a nice flat cruise, but when you hit a bad stretch of road they sound like the front end is coming apart, even with new springs. I found THAT out the hard way.

If you haven't already go to http://prothane.com they are called spring isolators. The ones for 73 up Chevelle/Monte carlo,70 up Camero/Firebird, and 75 up Novas you would swear were made for Studes.
Get the black ones though, they try to sell the red ones even though they are hard to see, a judge at a Stude meet will dock you 10 points for non stock isolators.
