I wiil have some Fluoropolymer coated V8 cam beearings available in a few weeks if anyone is interested. This coating will provide back-up lubrication during starting or other conditions of oil starvation. When the cam bearings wear you start to loose oil pressure, the coating will help prevent the wear.

Ok now a question. It has been a few years since I purchashed any main bearings for a Studebaker and now don't have any left. The question is what brands of bearings are being sold by the various vendors?

David, I have had good luck with Dura-Bond. They will do a run for you in the proper size at a very reasonable price if you buy quantity. Number for V8 is S-3.

Alan thanks for the info on mains. That is a rather strange number for Fedral Mogul. Whacker the bearings I have came from Dura-Bond and the coating from someone else. I bought a fairly large number.
