I want to put front fined brakes off of a 62 v8 hawk onto my 51 Comander. How far can the drumes be turned out too?

.060 - 60 thousandths is what's allowed. I've encountered shops that refuse to turn them past 30. SOMETIMES, if you have the shop manual to plop in front of them, they'll bend their rule.
Half-ton truck drums can go out to .100 over! But you DAMN sure have to have the shop manual to convince a shop to work within that range! BTDT
