  • Packard Hawk Color

Hi ! I wrote previously and was wondering if any one knew anything about the color: Park Green# 5813 for Stude-Packard 1958 Its kind of a teal metalic.Just wondering if there was any thing close or a match on a modern car that any one may know of, I only have a chip to go by that is old and faded, Thanks

I have found that if you let the auto paint suppliers have a sample (perhaps the gas filler cover flap) they can produce an incredibly good match with their machines. The metallic green for the "lemon & lime" Speedster seemed perfect although the "lemon" was almost imperceptibly, slightly cooler. That may be because some yellow pigments have been outlawed on toxicity grounds since the '50s. They seem to prefer matching it themselves to using the Dupont or Dizler paint numbers that I provided.

    Peter.
