  • 59 Lark wagon clarification needed

Is it true that all 1959 Lark station wagons are 2 doors and the 4-door Lark wagon was introduced for the 1960 model year? I need clarification one way or the other. Thanks.

Yes, it's true. The 4-dr wagon and the convertible debuted in '60

There is a wonderfully bad radio ad from 1960 with the line "The new Lark wagon, with four convenient doors, it's styled for fun and frolic but built for chores".

Scary that I remember that, but it would be even scarier if you could hear me sing it! <BG>

          Jeff,
Yes, it's scary how much stuff is stored inside the inner reaches of our mind. Just the other day, I was singing the Studebaker theme for the '56s. "Big new, big new Studebaker. Craftmanship with a flair. The only car in the low-price field that's really, really new".
          I should get a life.
