Were all of the Lowey C body vent window surrounds chromed or were some stainless surrounds ?

The 'chrome' band below the windows was stainless in 1955 only. Is that what you mean?

Tim, I could be wrong but I think he means vent window frame. I don't recall seeing any that were stainless. Only chromed steel. There might have been some painted ones on cheapie trim levels but I'm not sure without hitting the parts books.[8)]
