I understand there will soon be a source for rebuilt Studebaker V8 engine long blocks. This is great news. Does anyone here have any idea when any will be ready? (hint, hint, Sonny )
I have a customer that could use one pretty soon.

You must be a mind reader Jeffster! I’ve just been taking to the fella who’s probably gonna be my partner in the “operation”, and we’re gonna continue the conversation at our annual SDC chapter Christmas party, tonite. It shouldn’t be too long before we have some bare bones, stock blocks, all the way up to “crate” and clone motors. [^]

We’re definitely planning to have what ever improvements we can put into the engines, (oil system in particular), as the standard offering, but I think that custom builds will probably be popular too. Hey, somebody has to do it! ;) You wanna put the first order in? [8D]

Oh! BTW, thanks for the plug!! [:I]

Sure!
I need a 289 long block setup for a customer.
I can bring a core up for exchange.
Quote me a price, so I can scare the crap out of Rick's partner <lol>.
Actually, it sounds like a good idea. I have so little time right now, that it makes sence to get a long block and stuff it in the Transtar and get it back to him in a reasonable amount of time.

Any word yet Sonny?
I nned to get my ducks in a row.....

I need a 289 long block.
Want an R1 type cam, and aluminum cam gear.
Mild compression (stock).
I can/will bring a core to you.

Let me know soon, ok?
I asked Ted Harbit, and he is no longer building engines.
The torch is yours if you want to run with it.

Jeff,

I have the cam and gear you want. Ted's R2+ cam and the prototype for his new production aluminum gears. Again, all stuff that was going to go in my '62. Don't think I need it for the 'vert as it supposedly is all R1 inside.
