gas tank 63

we just found out why the 62 wouldn't go very far.
the gass tank is full of crap.
I can get it cleaned out and pressure tested.
but they don't have a sealer to put in the tank.
any ideas.

You can get sealer, (pretty good stuff BTW, I've used it), from Eastwood, http://www.eastwoodco.com/. Make sure they rattle a short piece of chain around in the tank, or somehow clean the scale from the top of the tank, (where they normally rust out first). One other tip, make sure that you run something up into the fuel pickup, all the way into the tank, (we use a piece of rubber tubing plugged at the tank end), otherwise the sealer will close off the pickup.
