I have numerous v-8 water pumps laying around, are they worth rebuilding, who has parts and how do I get the things apart?

Yep, they're worth rebuilding for sure. You can get a kit to rebuild them from Stude International, and you need a press to disassemble and assemble them. You might wanna check with a supplier to see if they'll buy them as cores?

I think Ted Harbit may be wanting water pump cores. I'm sure someone here can give you his e-mail address. They ARE worth saving.

If you have a hydraulic arbor press you can do them yourself; they take the same bearing as many Chevy pumps, and the mechanical seal can be had from electrical supply houses that sell motors and pumps.
Having said that, though, you really have to WANT to do it yourself, the rebuilds from the vendors are pretty doggone reasonable.

Dang it, I forgot that Ted was rebuilding them. I have quite a few to send to him too. Thanks Gord!

Wonder if Ted rebuild and return the same pump? Have a v8 pump my uncle and father cut three impellors off of so it wouldn't steal as much horsepower from their '51 drag car.

I'll bet he would if ya just ask him. Ted is VERY easy to get along with.
