i'm thinking of taking out my 1 barrel carter rbs carb. and putting in a weber 2 barrel progresive carb. i know someone who did this with his dodge dart and its great. i would like to know if any else has changed thier carb, to what they changed it to, and how it worked out.

I dunno about the webber, but we have a Stude guy who has a nice Ford/Holley setup made especially for Studebakers. Email Calvin, (oldcarfart), here, oldcarfart@aol.com ,he can fill you in.

I've installed a Holly Webber 5200 successfully on my 170 Lark flathead, increased mileage from 18.7 to 23.9. Calvin told me last summer he was no longer offering the F**d 2 bbl. setup.

      Check the following link.

Oh? OK, didn't know that Tom, thanks. Wonder why? I thought it was a hell of a nice setup....... The 5200 Webber is a decent carb, but I still like that old Furd/Holley style two barrel. It's reeeeal easy to work on and tune. However, they are getting scarce and expensive.

I see my link didn't work, the .jpg on the end is wrong. here it is correct.

This is a Word file, takes me abouat 30 seconds to load, another minute for the images to develope.

I set the carb up for mileage, larger jets probably would give a bit more power, but in non-OD it's got enough power as it is.
