id like to thank the guys who answered some of my problem with the gears. now i have something else. say im down to about half a tank of gas and i go up a hill, if i dont have the right momentum i wont make it, i'll stall out or i go really slow up the hill. i thought that maybeit was the amount of gas but even when i fill up the tank it gives me that problem. what might it be and is there any thing i can do for it. thanks guys

Have you checked/changed your fuel filter yet? Don't forget to look under the car, at the entire fuel line from the tank to the carb., for another filter someone may have added in addition to the one you can see under the hood. Also, pop the top of the carb and look at the float, needle and seat, and for dirt/trash in the bowl. It could also be the float is set too low, but It's more likely a worn needle sticking in it's seat.

You might wanna reset that float too Ray. The other thing I was thinking about after I answered the last time was that you need to replace EVERY rubber line in the fuel line from the tank to the carb, if you haven't already. The "new" fuel we have to put up with eats up old rubber hose. Use the newest neoprene hose that you can find. The old hose turns into something like a gloppy, Jello consistency, and will clog filters, (if you're lucky it'll just clog the filter). Just another thing to check/fix. Hope it helps....

Any local auto parts store should have it in rolls.
